Inquests

There is a requirement that an inquest be held where the deceased has died a violent or an unnatural death or has died suddenly, the cause of which is unknown.

A fatal accident will inevitably result in an inquest being held in the Coroners Court of the district where the death occurred. The purpose of the inquest is to ascertain the cause of death and is essentially a process to establish the facts to enable the death to be registered. This will often involve witnesses, police officers, medical staff and pathologists giving evidence.

Our Solicitors understand the devastating impact that a fatal accident has on family and friends but also the desire to have answers to the questions of how and why the accident happened. We can help relieve some of the emotional burden and to get the answers to those questions by providing representation at the inquest.
